Bhagat Singh Scout Troop was started in the year 2012, is an Open Troop based out in  Chennai and affiliated to The Bharat Scouts and Guides – Chengalpattu District. It was named so with the remembrance of Indian Freedom Fighter Mr. Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh (1907-1937).

 

The Troop is focused on developing scouting and leadership skills in youth by following  The Bharat Scouts and Guides’ fundamentals.  It helps in contributing  to  the learning of young people,   to  help build  a better world where people are self-fulfilled  as  individuals  and  play a "constructive role in society" through a system based on the purpose, principles and methods conceived by the Founder Lord Baden Powell.

 

Along with our weekly troop meetings, the troop plans for regular outdoor activities like

 

• Trekking, camping & hiking.

• Theme based troop outings / meets.

• Workshops
